My family and I are visiting Italy for the first time. We want to go to the Amalfi coast from Rome. What is the best form of transport to get around without being stressed out in traffic? Two young kids under 5 are part of our group. Will appreciate some suggestions. Thanks
Best in your situation would be a high-speed train from Rome to Salerno, and from Salerno a SITA bus to wherever you’re staying on the Amalfi Coast.
Thank you for your response. Will definitely plan for it.
There are 2 high-speed train companies:
- Trenitalia (with the Frecciarossa and Frecciargento lines)
- Italotreno
Estimated travelling times are between ~1h30 and ~2h for the ~270km between them.
